Pages 4, 19, 21 and 22 Delete the Bimini entrance GPS waypoint (25° 42.54’ N; 79° 18.41’ W). Use the following on-site GPS waypoints to locate the entrance channel: 25° 42.04’ N, 79° 18.75’ W; and 25° 42.08’ N, 79° 18.59’ W. These GPS readings, which were taken August 8, 2000, are in line with the entrance range. The latitude and longitude grids, as reproduced from the original NIMA charts, are not accurate. Do not plot GPS waypoints on these charts. A shifting sand bar (Henry Bank) requires good visibility on the approach. |
