Maptech Digital Charts are the standard for computer navigation. Maptech creates digital charts by scanning the same government and private paper charts mariners rely on every day. The resulting digital images are calibrated and quality-tested before being packaged on regional CD-ROMs. Boaters use Maptech charts in conjunction with navigation software to plan routes and plot positions on their computers. Maptech has a partnership with NOAA to make official digital charts for United States Coastal waters. Our international coverage is a combination of charts scanned by Maptech and charts scanned by third parties using Maptech's licensed chart formats. |
